Spicy Escarole with Garlic

A simple sautee of Escarole from Food Network.


  • 1-2 green garlic stalks or 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 head escarole, torn
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Salt
  • Olive Oil


  1. Cook 3 minced garlic in a skillet with olive oil until golden.
  2. Add a few pinches of red pepper flakes.
  3. Stir in 1 head torn escarole in batches, season with salt and toss. Cover and cook until the greens are wilted, 5 minutes.
